13 Goals for 2013

It's time again to make some goals for the upcoming year. I thought long and hard on these and tried to make some bigger goals as well as some smaller attainable ones. I hope that I accomplish most of them this year and feel free to encourage me or ask how I'm doing throughout 2013.

Here goes!

1. Make my own cleaning supplies
2. Buy more locally grown food
3. Take a yoga class
4. Read 10 books
5. Quit my job
6. Gain 10 pounds
7. Reupholster couch cushions
8. Have an herb garden
9. Learn to parallel park
10. Plant a hedge and build a fence
11. Learn to live on one income
12. Raise and sell meat birds
13. Try 10 new recipes

So there you have it, my goals for the year ahead. Do you make any resolutions or goals?

  1. Casey, I get that offer all the time! :P I would gladly take some from you but unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Tis a shame really.

  2. Those are all pretty realistic goals! I think you'll nail them this year.

What cleaning supplies are you wanting to make? I use vinegar and baking soda on almost my entire house--the only conventional cleaners I buy right now are laundry detergent and dish soap, and that's only because DH keeps buying more before we run out.

  3. Lainie, thanks! I thought I did a good job making them doable.

As for cleaning supplies, I want to make laundry soap and bathroom cleaners. But I've been trying to finish off what I have before making some and I obviously don't clean enough! :P Or I stockpiled too much.

  4. Those are great goals. I have to say I laughed when I read #9. I'm awful at that. I need a space about 3x the size of my car if I'm going to do it:)

You will have to make a post about your cleaning supplies, how they worked/recipes. This is something I would love to start doing!

  5. mamato3boys, I'm glad I gave you a chuckle. :P I have only ever attempted to parallel park twice in my life and they were both failures. But I want to master this!

And I will for sure be doing posts on making my own cleaning supplies when I get around to it.

  6. I love #9, and must admit - my superhero secret power is parallel parking - I can jam an SUV into a spot made for a Yaris!

  7. Can I be your 8 and 13 buddy? We can hold ourselves to it! Ooh--one night, we should cook the same recipe for/with our DHs! It will be like we're having a double date!!

  8. Kate - I love that you have a superhero secret power of parralel parking. :P

Tory - YES!!! I always want buddies, especially if it's you. And I totally agree about making the same recipe for our DH's one night and having a sort of double date. Fabulous idea.
