Ready to Run!

Today is the day! The day I start my Couch to 5K program. And I'm totally ready for it. I have the Couch25K app downloaded onto my iPhone, music ready to run to and good quality running shoes. Oh, and a brand new running outfit!

Don't I look cute? My mom gave me some money for my birthday so I went out and purchased some new clothes.

I love how bright and cheery they are, I won't get hit by any cars running in them! Although like Dan said, it's more like I won't get shot by any hunters running in that outfit. Yes, we live in the middle of nowhere.

Not to flaunt or anything, but check out my abs! I love that I am starting to notice a difference in my tummy since starting the Fab Ab February challenge, which you can read more about here.

I'm really hoping that these fun new clothes will help keep me motivated to run and not give up on the challenge. But since I have two friends who are starting it with me, as well as telling the blogging world, I doubt that I would be able to give up.

And because I'm just too dang excited about this, I'm sharing a before and now shot of me!

106lbs vs 113lbs
See the difference? Yes, I still have a ways to go but there's a definite improvement here! I don't look quite so skeletal and creepy. Hooray for gaining weight and looking somewhat healthy again!

  1. woohoo!! good luck with your runs!! too bad it suddenly turned all cold again. Im heading back to the treadmill again. sigh

  2. Thanks Casey! I'm quite bummed that it's so cold and miserable again today. It was snowing here a second ago. :(

  3. Yay!!! I'm so happy for you, your "Now" picture looks just great! Good luck with Couch to 5K! I've heard great things about the program. Maybe after the baby comes I will start it up. For now I'm trying to commit to walking...*snooze*!

  4. Erin, thank you! I'm pretty excited about the improvement and am so happy to be seeing a difference in my body. If you do start the Couch to 5K program after the baby, I'll totally keep you accountable! But for now, rest up and keep that little girl growing!
