I figured you guys deserved an update on how my running and Fab Ab Challenge were going and since I actually have something to report, I figured it was as good a time as any to give you a report. Remember back in this post when I told you I was doing the Fab Ab February challenge? Or this post where I told you I was ready to start running?
Well I am happy to tell you that I'm just about done the Fab Ab Challenge and I've actually been running!
Now I know that I'm a little slow with completing the Fab Ab Challenge, especially since it's only supposed to take a month and I started it the beginning of March. But I've taken way more break days than I was supposed to and just overall haven't been able to keep up with it everyday. I just couldn't. And you know what? I don't care if it's taking me longer than it should, I'm still doing it and that is what counts.
I only have two days left before I'm done and I'm hoping I can actually make it. The planks are killing me! But I am determined to finish it and I should be able to update you next week and give you some before and after shots of my abs. I bet you're looking forward to that, aren't you?
As for the running, it's also going well. Like I said before, I'm using the Couch to 5K program and following that to work my way up to running. For now, it's a mixture of walking and running and each week it progresses to more running and less walking. I plan on running this afternoon once I get home from work and after that run, I will have completed two weeks of the 9 week program!
I'm pretty proud of myself that I'm sticking to this and actually pushing myself to get out the door. Although I do have someone encouraging me to do so.
Mia is my little running buddy and she is loving it! As soon as I mention going for a run, she gets all excited and runs around in circles whining. Such a little cutie.
Oh, and as a bonus, I attended a hot yoga class this last Tuesday! It was my very first time doing yoga and I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Especially since it was hot yoga. I'm not sure if it's something I would want to do on a full time basis but I'm really happy that I bit the bullet and went. Now I can cross it off my goals list!
That's my update for today. Overall, I'm doing really well and staying motivated and encouraged. I will try and keep you posted as time progresses!
