How Does Your Garden Grow?

It's now been 2 1/2 weeks since we planted our garden and it's looking good!

I love seeing all the little plants popping up and making it look less like a large area of dirt and more like a garden.

I am delighted with how well things are looking, especially our potatoes. Remember the failed barrel potatoes last year? We are trying them again but to play it safe, we decided to plant some normally in our garden as well.

I am sad to report though that something seems to be eating the leaves on my zucchini and cucumber plants. I'm not sure what it is but hopefully we can get it under control before we lose them.

We really need to get the fence put up around it though, to keep small animals and neighbour dogs out. As well as snapping turtles. We had one snapper come up from the river and decided it wanted to lay eggs in our garden. But she never did, she just went around making a mess. So I will have to replant some carrots and swisschard, which makes me a little sad. But it's not a huge deal since there are a few other things I need to replant since not everything came up well.

I will keep you all updated on the growth of my garden, but so far I am pleased with the progress.
