Double Date Across Borders - New Recipe #9

Way back in January when I first posted my goals for the year, my good friend Tory (you know, the one who came for a visit in August with her awesome husband?) commented that we should have a "double date" for at least one of my 10 new recipes I was going to try. I thought it sounded like a great plan and agreed immediately!

It then took 9 months before we actually executed said plan, but that is besides the point.

I found an amazing looking recipe for Paleo Pulled Pork and sent it off to Tory for approval and date night suggestions. She agreed that it looked tasty enough to try and we set up our "double date" for that Thursday night.

The plan was going perfectly until both Dan and I came down with horrible colds. And really, who wants to take the time to photograph the whole process for a blog post when all they actually feel like doing is curling up in bed and sleeping forever? So we didn't.

But the good news is, Tory did! So if you want more pictures and step-by-step instructions, just head on over to her blog and read her post on our International Double Date!

We did at least snap a few pictures with my iPhone (so please excuse the poor quality) so that we could prove that we did indeed have the double date.

Like Tory mentioned in her post, the pulled pork turned out delicious and there was plenty of leftovers! We ate it a few times over the next couple of days but then froze the rest while we transitioned to a soup only diet while our colds got better.

So while our "double date" didn't go exactly as I had envisioned it, we still had a lot of fun.

We also plan on having a real in person double date when we visit Jeff and Tory in November, so be sure to check back for that. I will try and do my best to take better pictures and document the whole date a little better.
