This post is a couple days late, seeing as I told you it would be up last Friday. But the week got busy and I didn't get around to writing it so you'll just have to forgive me.
Each year for Christmas, I try to make at least some of the gifts for my family and this year was no exception. I thought of Christmas gifts for everyone in my family but was having a hard time coming up with something good for my one year old niece Alma.
After perusing ravelry.com for a while, I came across the most perfect gift ever, baby legwarmers. You see, Alma is a bit of a hippie baby and lives in a yurt, so legwarmers were seriously the best idea ever.
Plus, what baby doesn't look cute in legwarmers?
They were really easy to make, which is always nice when making a lot of gifts. The only challenge I found with the knitting process was getting used to using small double-pointed needles. But I got the hang of it quickly and whipped up this Christmas present in no time at all.
It was really hard to capture the cuteness of these legwarmers on camera since Alma is a very busy one year old who isn't great at posing or staying still for long. But my sister-in-law Tara was able to take these two pictures that I am using and I'm super thankful, since the 12 I took are all blurry.
If you want to try making these yourself, I used this pattern from Ravelry and I found it very easy to follow and the finished product was just as good as I had imagined.
I'll be sharing another knitted Christmas gift with you either later this week or sometime next week. And I'll also be sharing what knitting projects I have lined up!
