I have a huge to do list of crafts and house projects that I want to complete over the next few months and I was eager to get started on it. The only problem was that I am missing a lot of supplies for each one, so my options were limited this week. But I did whip up a quick craft with some supplies I had on hand and I'm quite pleased with the end result.
I originally found the idea on Pinterest (obviously) and have been meaning to do it for a while now, but never got around to it. I'm not quite sure how to title them but I like to call them cork name tags for herbs. Catchy isn't it?
They are super easy to make and you probably even have all the supplies at home without even knowing it. You will need some corks (I got mine from a friend who drinks more wine than us), wooden skewers and a Sharpie. It's that simple.
All you do is write the name of the herbs you have onto the corks, jam a skewer into the ends and then put them into your garden.
Don't judge my poor pathetic herb garden. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't like the cold in our house and that is why it's gone on strike. I swear it hasn't grown in the last 3 months. But then again, it hasn't died either...
I'm hoping that the herbs will survive the rest of the winter and then do well once we move them outside. Anyone have any idea why they aren't growing? And what we can do to help them along?
But back to the cork name tags for herbs, what do you think? Do you like them?
