2014 Goals: Progress Report #1

Time to check in and see how I'm doing with my goals so far this year. I like to do a quarterly update, so my plan is to have 3-4 goals crossed off at the end of each new three month period. Although I'm feeling like this might get trickier as time progresses.

1. Learn to parallel park
2. Get a will made up
3. Make a roman shade for the laundry room
4. Have a successful herb garden
5. Visit Seattle Tickets are bought!
6. Gain 5 pounds This must be my year to reach my goal weight, because I've already gained 5 since January. :::does a little happy dance:::
7. Volunteer with a local charity/group Just attended my first training day last Thursday at our local Alzheimer Society.
8. Learn to knit socks I finished my very first pair the beginning of March! To see pictures, click here.
9. Plant a new shade tree
10. Run another 5k
11. Read 20 books I've read 8 so far this year, so decent progress.
12. Put an extra $5,000 on the mortgage
13. Join a local knitting group I have only gone a handful of times so far but plan to continue to attend throughout the year.
14. Take a Zumba class I participated in a Zumba class with my friend Vicky on March 6th and didn't die!

Five items crossed off and a couple more being worked on isn't bad, if I dare say so myself. Now to figure out which ones I want to be done by the end of June...

How are you all doing with your goals? Anyone else keep track of their progress?

  1. Way to go! I'm still marveling at the fact that we're already 3 months in to 2014...not sure if I even got to making goals for this year!

  2. Jackie - I can't believe how fast this year is already going. Although I am ready for winter to be over. ;)

  3. Great work! Yes, I keep a list - except I'm always adding new things to it. This winter's goals are things I want to write and I'm making good progress too.

  4. Ellie - Thanks!

Furry Gnome - I knew you would have a list written out of your goals. I'm pretty impressed that you keep adding to it too and that you are doing so well with your writing. Congrats!

  5. You are doing so well!
    Congrats on the weight gain!!
