It's that time of the year again! As in, winter is over and I get all motivated to work out once more. With the arrival of Spring and warmer temperatures, my desire to start running again has returned.
One of my 14 goals for 2014 is to run another 5k but in order to do so, I need to train for it again. I ran from the beginning of April to the end of June last year but haven't done any running since. After I sprained my ankle in the motorcycle accident last July, I took a long term break to let it heal properly. Then winter hit and lasted 6 months.
But it's time to get back out there! Starting next Monday I plan to pull out my running gear and begin the Couch to 5K program again. Although since I don't really have any deadlines in mind, I am going to take it slowly and work my way up at a comfortable pace. No need to overdo it and then quit. Slow and steady is my goal!
Anyone else ever done the Couch to 5K program? Plan on doing it? Anyone want to join me?
