Simple Pleasures - January 2015

It's been a little while since I did a simple pleasures post and for that I am sorry. And I am just barely squeezing this one into January. I really should try and do better with these, especially since I find they are the most important during the winter months when I tend to feel down and these posts help pick me up.

Here are the few things that have been making me smile lately.

Homemade vegetable soup

Our Christmas lights are still up

My new puzzle and card table!

The little turtle to represent Chomper that my niece gave us

A Bunnykins set from a dear friend
Now it's your turn. What has been putting a smile on your face?

  1. Those are some great simple pleasures! Love the puzzle table and that turtle is so cute! For me, I have enjoyed Nanaimo bars this month. :) And seeing crocus buds coming up that I planted last fall. And Mikey's new socks. And his smiling proud face when he stacks things. :)

  3. That soup looks amazing! I wish I could get my husband to eat more soups.

As for me, I've been enjoying the incredibly mild winter we've been having. I actually like cold and snow, but it's also been nice to be able to go outside for as long as I want and not have to worry about it being too cold.

  4. Jackie - I like it when you share what you have been smiling at. Although I kind of feel like the crocus buds comment was rubbing it in a little. :P

Cora - The sky is very nice during the cold weather months so I'm glad you're taking the time to enjoy it!

Stasy - Dan isn't big on soups either, but he puts up with this one because it's "hearty" and has chicken (or turkey) in it. And I'm slightly jealous of the mild winter you're having. I always have to worry about being cold.
