Wintery Week

On this cold wintery Wednesday, I'm going to share some random photos I've taken this week. Basically, you will get a small peak into how I deal with snow, cold weather and disappointing news (see yesterday's post).

On Monday, we got one of our first real storms of the winter. And it wasn't even that big of a deal. I won't complain much about it since I was recently looking at last year's pictures from this time and I'm now really appreciating the lack of snow we have. But still, our yard has snow.

The above picture sucks because I was driving home and I took it with my iPhone. But still. Winter seems to have arrived now that it's February.

So what do we do in our house when it's -22 degrees Celsius out? We soak up the sunshine when we can. And when I say we, I actually mean Mia. She spent the entire day moving around the house to where the sun was shining in.

It was pretty cute. As for me, I tend to curl up by the fire and watch TV. But the last couple days I've been trying to find more creative outlets for my need to stay indoors. And so I'm now working on puzzles. Constantly. I've already finished one and am on to my second.

We currently have a small breath of spring in the house thanks to Dan and his thoughtfulness. He surprised me with this beautiful bouquet of flowers the other night. Isn't he the best?

And lastly, I'm going to give you a sneak peek into what recipe I'll be sharing on Foodie Friday this week. I made them yesterday and oh.my.goodness. These little treats are amazing!

So there you go, my random post for you guys. Sorry it wasn't all that exciting.

Tomorrow I'll be sharing my crazy Christmas knitting projects, so be sure to check back then.
