Colour Me Happy

I love to colour. If you have been following my blog for a while, I'm sure you are already aware of that fact. It just soothes me and brings me so much pleasure. Colouring is my happy place.

As a gift for being such an awesome maid-of-honour, my sister gave me the most awesome colouring book ever. Only makes sense really, to give an awesome colouring book to an awesome maid-of-honour.

I love it. Seriously, it's pretty much the best thing ever. A beautiful book full of pages for me to colour? Yes please!

So far I have only coloured two pictures in it. The first one was crazy time consuming but I am so pleased with how it turned out. Wouldn't you agree that I did a pretty good job?

The second picture didn't take as long, but I love the simplicity of it. And the lines of the sand.

I can't wait to colour more and I plan on setting aside some time this week to just sit down and relax with my fantastic new book.

Anyone else enjoy colouring? Do you own any of these new adult colouring books that are all the craze right now? And what do you colour with, pencil crayons or markers?

  1. Ooh, so pretty! I like colouring, but haven't really taken the time to lately. I do love pencil crayons.

    1. You should take some time to colour. Remember how you're supposed to be having "you" time everyday? Colour!

  2. I love colouring! I am fairly certain that I would not have survived getting my degrees without it. I have such a hard time paying attention in school, and so I used to print out tons of adult colouring pages and do those to pass the time! I am glad that the world is finally catching on to how awesome it is, because it makes it a lot easier to find books and such!
I am torn between pencil crayons and my "teacher" (fine point) markers for a favourite though.

    1. I'm glad that colouring got you through school. :) I've never tried fine point markers, but I am curious how they would work.
